Wait! Who are Picturephone in the first place?

We named ourselves after the famous Picturephone from Kubrick's even more famous film "2001". However, in the 1960s the picturephone actually existed in several cities in the USA. It was way ahead of its time - and a commercial disaster. The perfect name for us!

"Hedonism Is Overrated" was inspired by a headline in the Guardian. It's about a lifestyle that is massively outdated. Our album is an ironic and melancholic approach to looking both back and forward.
